Chaz Mostert Blitzs second Practice

Prodrive Racing (Australia) is hopeful the Perth SuperSprint can once again kick off a run of race wins for the team in 2016 after a clean sweep of the event’s pole positions along with two race wins in 2015. Mark Winterbottom took home the team’s two trophies last year along with one pole position cheque, but insists the team must work hard this year to achieve the same results with less than a tenth of a second often separating pole position and second place in qualifying. Winterbottom believes the changed race format will have an impact on results, as well as the shift back to the soft tyre. Chaz Mostert is excited to return to the track where his ARMOR-ALL Pole Position campaign began last year and a track where he has seen success in the past. Mostert, however, sees the podium as the aim this time around as he comes to grips with the #55 Ford.

Chaz Mostert – #55 Supercheap Auto PRA Ford:
“Barbagallo has been an awesome track for me, I always really enjoy heading over there and seeing all of our fans from Western Australia. We only race in the west once a year so all of the fans come out to support us and the atmosphere is awesome. I got my first pole position there last year which was a real highlight so hopefully things go our way and I can add another one to my tally this year and even better get back on the podium.”
